What is Real-Time Analytics?

StarTree was responsible not just for promoting Apache Pinot, but establishing real-time analytics as a category. This video was one part of that campaign, explaining how latency, concurrency, and freshness were increasing in importance as analytics went from the dashboard to the user interface. Serving analytics to users, not just back-office decision makers, required a re-engineering of the OLAP database.
