Prompt Engineering is dead.

As the broader community gained traction with agentic applications, it became clear that the LLM's context window was a scarce resource to be managed carefully. Success with agents was less about figuring out a single prompt, but more about managing the contribution of prompts, tool calls, user and assistant messages, and other documents added to each query. This video outlined Confluent's point of view on LLM context and gave guidelines for how to manage each claim on this scarce resource.
